Klophaus & Associates is a Utah-based consulting firm founded in Spring 2011, focused on bridge and roadway design. Our team includes 13 licensed professional engineers with extensive experience in transportation projects. From the start, we have treated each dollar spent as if it was our own, ensured plans are clear and constructible, and provided assistance throughout the construction process. This approach has led to a history of successful projects and satisfied clients. 


Our employees' past bridge experiences include: 

  • Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) designs for: 9 slides, 2 SPMT replacements, and 1 launch
  • Precast abutment, deck, approach slab, and bent designs incorporating post-tensioning
  • Non-traditional abutments for ABC
  • Haunched multi-span steel girders
  • Prestressed and post-tensioned concrete with mild reinforcing
  • Seismic analysis of multi-span structures
  • Box culverts and retaining walls
  • Sign structures and pedestrian structures
  • Bent designs with and without isolation bearings
  • Temporary structures / abutments to maintain traffic through phasing
  • Delivery through design-bid-build (DBB), design-build (DB), and CM / GC methods

  • Extensive post-design support and contractor support with knowledge to improve constructability

We have the resources to deliver a complete advertisement package following UDOT standards and are qualified on the UDOT pool for Structures Design, Preconstruction Engineering, and Construction Services disciplines.
